To My Bloggy Partner Who's Going Back To Work

I wanted to send you a little note to cheer you up as tomorrow is your last day of stay at home mom life before going back to work. So I thought I would do it on the blog so I could test out my new signature (see it?!)

I hope you are feeling better about your decision of returning to work. Try and put a positive spin on the situation and instead of thinking that you are neglecting your job as a mom in some way by leaving her in day care, believe that you will be a better mother if you are a fulfilled person who can feel important at her job and also to her family.

It will be hard at first to get used to the new routine. Give it a chance and by the time you feel like you're back in the swing of things, it will be June and school will be over. Then you have all summer to decide what your plans are for next year :)

Look on the bright side - living at your mom's during the week means you are closer to me so I can drop by for a visit anytime. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Good Luck back at work. Love ya!

I too want to wish her luck as she heads back to work on Thursday! I had to return to work this year after my maternity leave and I am still adjusting. I know how hard it is to do the teacher-mommy thing. So she has been in my thoughts alot! I hope she knows how much we all care about her and want this to go as smoothly as possible for her!

You can do it... you are a strong woman and a loving mother. Just know that not only are you able to mold Eliza, but also all the children who come through your kindergarten room!

My thoughts are with you teacher-mommy...I share in your feelings. I am torn and hoping that next year will be my last in full time teaching for awhile. I like what Heather said, though, it cheers me, too...only 3 more months (for us in GA) and then it's summer! Be comforted by the thought that God is with your baby all day long!

I just "met" you but wanted to wish you good luck as you head back to work! Your bloggy partner is completely right - you are certainly not neglecting your role as a mother by putting her in day care.

A happy mother has happy children. It has nothing to do with working or staying at home. And when your daughter looks back she will remember that you were happy and fulfilled.
