Happy 7 Month Old Birthday Eliza!
There is no need to respond to this post. I can just go back to the other ten posts where Eliza is sick and read your wonderful comments.
Eliza has been sick with a head cold/ or allergies- who knows- for about a week.
Yesterday after I picked her up from day care she did not seem that interested in eating. After her 7:30 bottle she threw up on me four times. I changed my clothes. Then it happened again. I had to change my clothes again. Even though her poor little stomach was empty she continued to dry heave and throw up every 30 minutes until 12:30 a.m. My husband held her until 3 a.m. because we were scared to put her down and I was a mess- basically no help at all. She was also tugging on her ear a great deal and my husband was worried that she had an ear infection. Luckily, we now think she was just trying to soothe herself.
It took the doctor and hour and a half to call us back. When she did call back she said if the baby was still throwing up in the morning take her to the E.R because they did not have office hours today. BIG HELP!
So I am home with Eliza today. She took 3 oz of Pedialyte at 6:30 a.m. and 3 more oz at 7:30 a.m. She is now taking a nap. Unfortunately, Peter and I did not learn from the first time she had a stomach bug and she mad a mess in the bed. We woke up this morning to a mess in the bed AGAIN! Oh the joys of parenthood.
Can someone please throw us a bone. How much can one little baby, a mommy and a daddy take. I know so many other families are in much worse situations so i don't mean to vent this much but I am just so frustrated.
Oh and of course we called daycare to tell them Eliza would be absent. We inquired about any other reported cases of stomach flu and they said no other toddlers or babies has the bug-0 but some preschoolers did. The preschoolers are in a different part of the building and apparently my daughter can catch a bug from 100 miles away.
For more info on the cause and prevention of noroviruses- the stomach flu- check out this article from the CDC.

BIG HUGS for all of you... hope it passes quickly!
Oh, poor baby girl! You've all been through so much! Happy 7th month birthday!!! Take care . . .
Hope you all are doing OK!
We have had problems with our little one getting several ear infections (hereditary) and he showed no other sign except vomiting, so its always so hard to tell whats going on. I hope she starts feeling better. Good luck.
I am so sorry she is sick again. Our eldest went to full time daycare her first year of life and had 12 serious colds, 2 bouts of pneumonia, 5 ear infections, hand foot and mouth disease, 2 bouts of croup, and tons of rashes due to high fevers. I am feeling your pain. Some kids just have a tougher time fighting off than others. Our second is also prone to getting sick. When she was in daycare (after she turned one) she was so sick the first three months. She was NEVER well - not ever. We were so frustrated. But now, both of my girls are (knock on wood) really healthy. Especially my eldest. She went about 2 1/2 years - no cold, no anything! I am not saying that all your pain is worth it - we decided on a nanny for our second because of our bad first year with our eldest. But I promise you that this will make her immune system stronger.
Oh I am so sorry. That stinks. My son was sick constantly when he was in daycare. And he has had only one mild cold since we took him out. Daycare is definitely a breeding ground for all kinds of germs.
So sorry.
I can't believe Eliza is 7 months.... It seems like just yesterday she was still in your belly!!
Hope she's feeling better!!
Hugs & Kisses to my favorite lil girl!
Maybe she's just the first one to show symptoms? I'm so sorry. I guess it's always going to be so stressful and scary when your baby is sick, huh? Doesn't even matter that it's not anything that "serious." Poor girl. Hope she's better soon.
Sorry to hear she is sick again. If you need someone to talk to at 3:00 am I'll probably be up. Madison's got some kind of funky bug too so we've been spending nights sitting upright on the couch (nice and close to the bathroom 'cause now she can tell us when she has to throw up). I know it is no consolation but we've probably spent 2 weeks since September without Madison having some kind of cold, runny nose, hacking cough (gotta love daycare & pre-school). I was just lucky enough to not have to deal with it when she was an infant.
Oh! I am sorry! You all just can't get a break! I hope she is feeling better SOON! Don't feel bad about venting--that is what we are here for (and I know I do my share!).....I'll be thinking of you!
So sorry Eliza! Feel better!
Poor baby and poor mommy and daddy. I hope she's feeling better soon!

I hope Eliza gets better soon. We've been lucky so far. I hope it stays this way. u
You poor guys! I am so sorry she keeps getting sick. What is the daycare's policy on handwashing? Do they use hand sanitizer? You know, Grace would get sick every time she went to the church nursery. I finally had to stop sending her there. :(
I bet Eliza is building up a lot of resistence through all of this. Poor baby girl.
I hope you feel better soon too.
