Happy 8 Month Birthday Eliza Marie!
Today Eliza had her 8 month checkup. Here are her stats!
Weight 17 lbs and 10 oz (oops I typed 7lbs the first time!)
Height 28 1/2 inches
Growth Percentiles according to Babycenter
Length = between percentile 75 and 90
Weight = between percentile 25 and 50
Here are some things my little princess can do!
- She is sitting unsupported.
- She lunges forward from a sitting position to get toys she wants.
- She is rocking back and forth on her knees. Almost crawling!
- She crawls or scoots backwards.
- Transfers objects from hand to hand
- Can closely track (even distant) moving items
- Seems to notice even subtly colorful objects.
- Notices items far away.
- Responds to sound by making sounds
- Enjoys social play
- Recognizes familiar faces.
- Is interested in mirror images.
- Appears joyful often.
- Laughs out loud
- Struggles to get objects that are out of reach.
- Uses toys in more ways than they're intended.
- Drops toys and expects you to retrieve them—over and over
- Responds to own name
I also spoke with the Pediatrician about my concerns regarding vaccinations. More on that to come.

Happy 8 Month Birthday Eliza! Riley is 13 months old today as well. He still is not walking. But it looks like E is learning to do SO many things! Yeah for her!

Happy 8 months!! Time sure goes by fast, huh? (by the way...you said she was 7 lbs 10oz...but she's surely heavier than that, right? ;) )...and to answer your question you left on my blog about Payperpost...yes, I do payperpost...so far I think I have made at least $700 sooo, I think it is worth it. :)
I can't believe that my 5 month old is fatter than your 8 month old. I have a chunky monkey!
Eliza sounds like she is developing beautifully. She'll be mobile in no time!
Can't believe how big Eliza is getting! Loved reading all of the stuff that she can do. As a mother, it must be utter joy to watch her grow up! Hope to see you soon! Give hugs and kisses to Lil E for me!
i think my lil man is not too far behind her in weight...and he is only 5 months!! oh well...they are cute that is all that matters
She's a lot bigger than Kaelin was! Even with being so sick!
I think she is right around the same size as Madison at that age. It's great to hear that she is putting on weight after everything she's been through. Now that she is interacting more and is almost mobile the real fun is going to begin! Miss you guys, I'll call later to figure out when we can get together. We're good with meeting up anywhere!
