Scammed!

So my husband did some digging today and it turns out the place we went to with Eliza is a big scam. One site clainms they have changed their name several times in a few years. We have pulled out of our agreement because we didn't feel cofortable paying a fee with the chance that we may never get a call for work. I had a bad feeling about it all night and I am glad we discovered this before the three day period was up. I am too trusting and naive when it comes to things like this.

The company is called (will fill in shortly)-so stay away from them. Apparantly they are very similiar to kids.com. The pics of the kid's on the site are terrible. I am not the most assertive person and I probably should have asked for more time to make the decision. I guess it is a learning process- so now we know.

Needless to say I am disappointed. If anyone knows of a reputable management company in New York City or New Jersey- please let me know.

I'm so sorry! I am glad that you were able to get out of it before it was too late. It is terrible that things like this happen. I hope you are able to find a company you feel good about and can work with well.

I totally can relate. I got suckered into an "agent" when we lived in L.A. Since I didn't want to look back and regret not trying, I decided to give it a shot but we ended up with nothing but a stack of bills for a portfolio, an agent that never called us and a sour taste in our mouths.

Hope you have better luck in your venture. Although I can't tell you who to go to, I can tell you who NOT to.

I live on the opposite side of the country but a friend of mine just finds info online for open casting calls. Her little girl has gotten some modeling jobs and it seems to work out great for her. While you search for an agency you might want to check out any open calls in your area.

That stinks! At least you caught it soon enough! I got scammed on Heavenly Hold, but DH and I caught it before anything bad happened, too! Whatever happened to honor?

Sorry to hear it. It is esactly what we have run into so I haven't been trying too hard to find a reputable one 'cause I just don't trust any of them. Hope you have better luck than me and happy to hear you pulled out before it was too late!

Thank you so much for the award! That was so fun! I definitely participated and tried to pass it on. I am not a computer genius, so I hope I did it right! That was fun and I am honored. :)

Hi, I am new to your blog and the whole blogging community. Would love for you to checkout my blog and tell me what you think (I know it needs a lot of work). In regards to getting scammed, I have become an EXPERT! I have been scammed so many times that If I had the backbone to take all of them to court, I'd be rich by now! So now, I don't trust anyone until I research them out. I submitted photos of my son for a contest and paid a handsome fee. The catch is that you have to get EVERYONE you know to vote. At the end they send you an email telling you're a SEMIFINALIST, then a FINALIST, and it all builds up to the closing scam.."We want to publish your photo in our photographer's book" but you have to BUY they book and only the parents that are naive enough to fall for it, buy it and they're the only ones who see it. The book is only seen by the parents who buy it. So stay away from "picture.com"...bit long winded aren't I??
