Do you pull the kid card?

I was just reading a poll on LilSugar asking how many parents pull the kid card?  Meaning you use your child as an excuse to get out of things.  I know most of you probably do it because most moms I know do it all the time & this is a major perk of having kids!  Anytime you don't feel like going somewhere, all you need to do is call and say that Junior isn't feeling well and you are out of it just like that.  When you use the kiddie card, it is rarely argued.  So what have you used your child as an excuse to get out of?

Also, if you happen to venture over to LilSugar.com, there is a short quiz called Do You Know The ABC's of Pregnancy.  I figured I would do it because I am bored & ended up getting them all correct!  Last weekend at the bachelorette party everyone decided to tease me (in a nice way of course) about how I shouldn't know all of this stuff and am way too prepared with baby equipment for someone who is at least a year or two from even trying for one.

would we be a bad parent if we said yes?! :) isn't that one of the perks..

it is never too early to be ready to have a baby....good for you for getting prepared ahead of time instead of surprised later on.

Nap time is precisely at 1:30. Or 12:30. Or 1:00. Or... Every day, naptime is my excuse for anything.

But more often than not, I use it to get off the phone with people. I seldom have anything else to try to sneak out of.

Oh wait, bedtime is precisely at 8:00...or... hehe. I use that one to leave parties and stuff early. Sometimes family events, but more often things like home parties that I've just attended out of courtesy.

I can't lie. Really. I think of something true.

I probably don't use it as much as I could. I am too nice. But it does come in handy. :)

I don't pull this card, but I must admit.. recital's, concerts, ballet, music lessons, and family time has saved me from many undesired invites!!
