Two Cool Products

Last night I had dinner with my niece & nephew so I brought along two new products to review. The first one is called Napkleen. It is a stick-on disposable bib that can be used for infants, toddlers, and adults. The company was out of the small samples so they sent me some adult sized ones to try out. This disposable, waterproof bib is made of 2-ply tissue and adheres to your shirt. It is basically one of those napkins they put on you when you go to the dentist, soft and absorbent with a barrier on the back to protect your shirt from getting wet. It has an adhesive strip on the back...just peel the paper and stick to the child's shirt.

I think it worked very well with a 3 year old but not so well for an 8 month old. Layna wanted to wear it to keep her outfit clean but Owen ripped it off about 2 seconds after I put it on and tried to eat it. The thing that makes this a great disposable bib is that it will cover your child's entire shirt without needing a tie around the neck...which is great in every situation except the one where the baby doesn't want it on them. I think this would be great for smaller babies or older children but any child in between those ages would probably have the same reaction and pull it off.

Here is a photo of Layna wearing her Napkleen disposable bib. You can see Owen in the background with his bib over his head trying to rip it off!

The second product is Funky Monkey Snacks. They are freeze dried fruit snacks with no added sugar, preservatives, colors, or flavors. They are also gluten-free, dairy-free, and wheat-free. We tried all 4 flavors which are: Purple Funk (banana & acai berry), Jivealime (pineapple & lime), Bananamon (banana & cinnamon), and Carnival Mix (banana, pineapple, apple, papaya & raisins). This is a great product because it is a healthy snack, but Layna was super excited because she thought it was candy. Of course I tried some too, and our favorite by far was the Bananamon. This is definitely a great snack for moms and kids on the go!

Funky Monkey Snacks are available at Whole Foods Market, Winn-Dixie, HyVee and other grocery stores, as well as through Amazon.com. To learn more about Funky Monkey Snacks, visit their website.
