US Pics!

Here are the pics of my lil bean. He/she is 13 oz.

Seeing the baby has thrown my nesting instinct into overdrive. All of a sudden I am looking around thinking that we have A LOT to do before baby arrives. The problem is that we live in a tiny condo-ok! not really that tiny- and have a lot of stuff. We also have very little storage space with no attic, basement or garage. We need to get rid of some stuff and reorganize. I am thinking of selling our bassinet and getting a Moses basket. We actually have two swings this time-one for each floor. We also have two bouncy seats for the same reason. I thought we did- now I can't seem to remember where one bouncy seat went. I can't see myself lugging equipment, Eliza and baby up and down the stairs. Sometimes I dream of living on one level. Any suggestions from other moms living on two levels? I will also need to set up another changing station. We currently change Eliza downstairs on the floor near the bathroom. With two little ones I need to be a bit more organized.

I know I still have time but it suddenly doesn't seem so far away. I better get a TO Do list together for myself and a Honey Do List together for my Pete. I am sure he will be thrilled to bits.

precious itty bitty. I don't have answers for you on the two story thing as we live in a one story house (except our bonus room)... I'm sure you'll figure it out. But, it does sound like if you haven't already done so, you should begin teaching E. to go up and down the stairs. I taught Blake to crawl up and crawl the stairs when he was about 1.

I also live in a 2 story house. I had two seats (infant/bouncy) and I have the graco pack and play with the changer on top so I set that up downstairs to change Anthony and it also has the diaper stacker and wipe holder so that was my changing station downstairs. I also kept a few little outfits/onesies downstairs for poop explosions/getting pee pee'd on. And we kept a tiny hamper down there as well. For the first floor I also kept diaper sacks down there to throw away the dirty diapers because I didn't want to run up and down to put them in the diaper pail. Hope this helps. You have plenty of time to prepare but I know you probably feel like you're running out of time! Don't get overwhelmed, take a deep breath :)

Our place in Switzerland (where D spent his first 7 months) had THREE levels! We didn't have any swings, and we only had one bouncy seat, which we kept downstairs since that's where we spent most of our time. I did, however, make sure to have a changing station on each level-- he had his official changing table in his room, then in the other 2 I had baskets with wipes, some diapers, and a changing pad, along with random other things like the small wipes for cleaning his eye goop in the beginning, etc. (the JJ Cole changing station is pretty nice, I now use the changing pad it comes with in my diaper bag)

At first I carried him in his moses basket up and down as needed, but that was a pain and felt less-than-safe on the stairs... and then we bought our stroller which came with a bassinet, so we kept that one downstairs and his basket up in our room at the top and that worked out pretty well.

I usually fed him in the big chair in our room, but kept some big pillows on the floor downstairs where I could sit and feed him comfortably so I could have that option as well. If we'd been in the US I would've bought 2 if not 3 boppy pillows-- they're not that necessary past the first months, but I found mine so crucial in that time.

what a precious baby! We have a two story house- but the only thing upstairs are bedrooms. So I didn't really have to deal with it much. Sorry- I wish I had a better suggestion.
