Potty Learning Update

I have been totally MIA from posting and reading blogs. My husband has been working insane hours and 12-14 hr days alone with a toddler at 30 weeks preggers is wearing on me a bit.

Anyhoo...

We are trucking along with the potty learning. We have good days and not so good days but I really feel we have made progress overall.

E usually has only a few accidents a day.

She almost always pees when you sit her on the potty.

I haven't dared to bring her to a store with just her trainers on yet.

She doesn't like the feel of poop anymore and will ask to be changed.

She is napping in her undies!

On occasion she tells me she needs to pee and then actually goes!

All in all I am pleased with our progress.

We do keep to somewhat of a schedule with potty breaks. We usually sit on the potty upon waking in the morning and from her nap. We also usually try to go before leaving the house and when we get home. Otherwise she goes two hours after waking up and every hour until nap time. The she goes two hours after her nap and every hour until bed. So far this has been working well for us. I think it is important that she learns to try to go at certain times- like before leaving the house- then to only go when she feels the urge.

Hopefully I will get another chance to post soon- and to stop by all of your blogs to see what you have been doing!

sounds like things are going well... other than the crazy hours for your hubby

sounds like the potty stuff is gong well. That sounds a lot like what I am trying with R. I need to start putting him on the potty more- each hour like you do- then he probably wouldn't have as many accidents. He has about 2 or 3 a day so far. But, our kids will get there!

Sorry your hubby has been working so much! I hope you get some rest and relaxing time soon.

Good for you and E! As someone who has never had a kid (save my pup), I don't really know what potty training will be like other than with the dog, but I know when she finally got the hang of things, my heart swelled with pride. And my carpet was a lot happier.

It has to be EVEN BETTER when your child is grasping the concept. Congrats!
