Attention to all my readers who are also teachers. I just came from a staff meeting where I learned about an awesome free website called Donorschoose.org. I ran home to share it with you all before I had Momnesia. I don't think it is available in every state yet-but I know they are expanding. Donor's choose is a program where teachers submit proposals for things they need in their classrooms. A typical proposal is a one page essay that specifies what you will need for your project. Viewers read the proposals and can fund some or all of your project. Now that summer vacay approaches and you have some time, consider writing up a proposal for your class. Think Digital Camera, LCD projector, or maybe some books for literature circles. This website is a great way for teachers to get things for their students when school funds are low or non-existent. The site also has a Blog if you are interested.
