Welcome to Mommyfest!


I am Danielle. Welcome to the New Mommy Rant. I started this blog because I am a golf widow. I needed something to fill the time when my husband (Peter) was at the course. He suggested blogging and it took off from there. Now, I am a full blown addict. What will you find here? Mainly you will read about my adventures as a new mother. You will also find lots and lots of pictures of my amazing daughter Eliza, book reviews, recipes, product reviews, and hopefully a lot of laughs.

More About Me

I am Jersey Girl born and raised- but I am dying to get out of the Garden State- hopefully to go somewhere much warmer. I graduated with a B.S in Special Education and have taught 4th grade, 3rd grade and Kindergarten. I am currently teaching my second year of Kindergarten. However, I am resigning at the end of the year because my commute is waaaaay too long and making this commute and taking care of my daughter is no longer plausible. I have no idea how I will earn money. I have basically no skills outside of teaching. If you have any suggestions lay them on me. I am the mom of a beautiful 8 month old girl named Eliza. I am vegan-well 98% of the time. I am married to a wonderful man named Peter.

All in all I am one craaazy momma. I am constantly doing stupid things and I am not afraid to talk about them to the world. I am very honest and will not hold anything back. If you don't believe me you can check out this post!
