Playing Catch Up!

I feel like I have been so busy since school ended. Here is a post to play a little catch up.

Eliza has been moving a lot. Her new favorite thing is to find microscopic fuzzies on the carpet. So now I am vacuuming and sweeping everyday. She also enjoys eating paper. Since she started crawling she has been go, go, going! I can't believe how fast she is developing. Where did my baby go? She no longer wants to be contained in any way which makes getting things done rather difficult. Here is my little momma on the move...

The wedding was amazing. We all had an awesome time and I can't believe it is over. The bride and groom are off enjoying their honeymoon. Here are some pics from the night taken by one bridesmaids' fiancee. You can see all of his work from the night here. My hubs took a zillion awesome pics too but he is working on editing them.

Cloth diapering is going well. We have had a couple leaks. I definitely prefer one brand of diapers so far. However, overall I am very impressed by all of the brands. The only problem is that Eliza has been going #2 like five times a day for some reason so I have had a big mess. My MIL suggested dunking the diapers to get the goo off. I would love any suggestions on this nasty duty!

My niece Alli has been with me for a little over a week. We have been keeping very busy. She has been grating old candle and making new candles from the shavings. She has also been melting down old crayons and putting them into candy mold to make new crayons. She did a post on it-but I haven't had time to add pictures.

On the baby wearing front...

I have been working on the hip carry in my Mei Tai and on getting Eliza on my back with no help. Yesterday I received a Gypsy Mama wrap I ordered (after winning some money) so I am stoked to try out some carries with a SPOC!

Sprout Pouch Review and Giveaway!

Ever since I outgrew my pouch a few months ago I have been craving a new one. I love my ring slings but I think every baby wearer needs a variety of carriers and I was in need of a pouch. I wanted something I could fold up and stash in my diaper bag. I enjoyed my Hotsling but knew there were tons of great slings available. I decided to do a a little exploring on the net and turned up a company called Sprout Pouch. This company makes baby wearing beautiful. I was immediately drawn in by the eye catching fabrics and simplicity of their web site. They were kind enough to send me a sling to try out and GIVEAWAY! Yes! It pains me to do this but I am giving away the beautiful pouch featured in the pictures below. I wish I could keep it for myself.

We only wore it to try it out and for the photo shoot!

I know some moms think their kids are too big to wear in a sling. Sprout Pouches support kids up to 35 lbs. I know many of you moms still carry your 30 lb 2 year old on your hip around the house. Don't lie! I know you do. Moms of toddlers always tell me they wish they had known about carriers when their kids were babies. Well, it isn't too late to try out a pouch. What are you waiting for? haha A well fitting pouch can take a lot of the strain off of you. If you are looking for a pouch I highly recommend the sprout pouch. It is easy to use and I had Eliza in it within minutes of it arriving at my door. The website has instructional videos for three different carries so you can get started right away! As an added bonus they make mama bags in the same fabrics as the sling. This would be an awesome gift for a new mom or for yourself.

The pouch I am giving away is a size XS. To enter go to the Sprout Pouch site and check out the "why sling" section. In your comment tell me one reason why slinging rocks! Please leave me a working e-mail address so I can contact you if you win. Contest ends July 14th. U.S. Residents only!
