TGIF and I REALLY mean that..this is so random

It has been a rough week for me because I am a big baby who really needs the help of her husband and no I am not afraid to admit it. Not having him home at night nearly did me in---OK maybe I am exaggerating a little. But a lot of the fly lady flew out the window even though I did my best to stay the course. But I did get E's toys organized!

E has had a much better week so far since Sunday. Should I go back and delete that right now. Did I just ruin any chance of continued good behavior? She has been throwing tantrums less which leads me to believe she wasn't feeling 100% for a few days last week. I also think she just has a mercurial temperament and I need to deal with it! What can I say. She is Fierce like her momma.

in other news...

The cloth diaper Houdini has figured out how to take her cloth diapers off. She can even get them off while wearing pants. TA DA! So she takes off her diaper, runs away, pees on the rug, It isn't pretty. The Velcro is wearing fast on my $$$ Bum Genius Diapers and although I really like them I can't afford to replace them. Additionally, they seem to irritate her a little on her hips which causes me concern. So I have resorted to using disposables because I am not sure what to do. She can't seem to get the disposables off---well at least not yet.I can't use cloth with snaps because she barely stays still long enough for me to do Velcro. Diapering is a common source of tantrums for her so i try to make it as pleasant as possible.

and in more exciting news

Eliza has learned how to walk on her tippy toes, stack blocks and open the cabinet to get out her O cereal! She is also becoming a wiz at animal sounds- gobble gobble gobble! Now if I could just teach her to use this Swiffer we'd be set! Do you see the fear in the cat's eyes?

I am sorry if I haven't been by your blog. Since the Kamikaze kid has stated launching herself from her pack-n-play I haven't had much down time. My reader is at 334 and counting! but I promise I will catch up soon!

glad to hear things are getting better. often with my guys, just when I want to throw up my hands and say "ok... I give" is when everything gets back to normal

I hate when my husband is gone. Time seems to drag on FOREVER.

If you want to try a happy in the middle option for diapers try the g-diapers they fasten in the back also. Makes them extra hard for toddlers to remove.

We use the bum genius also and are finding our velcro is wearing also.

At least we ended the week with some yummy dinner and adult conversation! I think that always helps a little.

Eliza's lucky she's cute, huh?
